Re: Last movie you watched
Just curious , which part looked fake ? 3 waterfall drops , ants hauling a soldier down into their nest , the sword fight while straddling 2 speeding trucks thru a jungle , pulling Indy out of quicksand w/ using only a snake , 50,000 bullets that never hit their mark or the fridge survival of a nuc .
Re: Last movie you watched
Strange Wilderness - What a farce.
Re: Last movie you watched
Tin Cup- first time I'd ever seen it. It's not bad for some good laughs... 6.5/10
Re: Last movie you watched
Just a question for PVFAN, coming in to Indy 4 what did you expect? Had you not seen any of the other movies? They were all extremely unrealistic. To be honest with you, its not my thing either and I had low expectations and I was highly entertained. It was some nice escapism. Id give it a 8/10 because it set out to do exactly what it was intended for.
I was actually more entertained watching Indy 4 than I was watching Ironman. Ironman is overrated IMO, though I still liked it and would watch the sequel first weekend. It just didn't have the epic feel that some of the other recent superhero movies such as Spiderman 2 and Batman Begins. NOT Spiderman 3, which sucked. Id still give Ironman around 7.5 or 8/10. Will see how it holds up on dvd.
Re: Last movie you watched
Using your criteria, I would think it would be hard for you to find a movie you like. I can pick to death any movie I watch, but I go into it with the attitude of being entertained. I love the James Bond series, all of which are too far-fetched to be believable. I enjoy them just the same.
Now talk about a waste of time, and you're talking about two movies that won Best Picture Oscars: American Beauty , No Country for Old Men.....a total waste of four hours, ten bucks, and intelligence.
Re: Last movie you watched
I loved American Beauty...and I wanted to like No Country for Old Men but I was let down. I think its a good movie with great performances and direction. Though obviously it has no conclusion. Your just suppose to make up your mind what happens to certain characters. The academy can call that art if they want to, I just call it writers block. It's definitely not creativity like that would have you believe.
Re: Last movie you watched
IMO No Country was spectacular. The ending was the best part because it actually makes you think. Not everyone enjoys that kind of stuff, but to each his own.
Re: Last movie you watched
I hadn't seen the other movies, went with a group of people. Admittedly I'm not a big movie fan to begin with but this was just to extremely fake for me.

Are you saying that you've never seen Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, or the Last Crusade?
Do you live under a rock?
Re: Last movie you watched
I had no problem with the cast or their performances. The movies were extremely well made but their messages are off-center to me...not my cup of tea at all. To me, movies like Raiders, Radio, MASH, Sleepless in Seattle and October Sky are the ultimate in movie making. They are fine examples for each of their genres. As for horror pics, I won't even go there as I abhor them. I'd rather watch moss growing on a tree.
